Two Miles Past Costco

Our small town is like most others. There is a main highway leading through the center of it and most restaurants and shopping areas are around that highway. But if you go less than two miles past the Costco in our town, you'll run into this.
Lynx Lake.

Stunning.
There were kayaks galore out today.

And this is why we moved here. You can enjoy the outdoors year round. Sure it was getting hot as noon approached, but it wasn't unbearable.

What may become unbearable for this little guy is the allergies that he seems to have. Whenever we go outside and there is a slight wind, his eyes and nose start running. Emily is the same way. 24 hours in Idaho and she didn't even have a sniffle. But, it is what it is and since we live in one of the worst allergy spots in the nation, we have to take the good (picture above) with the bad (picture below).

We met a group of friends for a little hike around the lake and a picnic lunch.

I love this town.

Wow!! No, your small town is not like our small town as we don't have ANYTHING that even compares to that around here!! LOL We do have..... corn as far as the eye can see. :)

That's a gorgeous place and how fun that you got to go out hiking with the kids.

Hope Noah's allergies improve. We know allergies in our house... big time. Not fun, but some are outgrown. Even seasonal since I used to have really bad seasonal allergies but now they're almost non-existent.
