Trampoline

David has always been anti-trampoline. He worries about someone getting hurt. But, the kids jump on it at our friend's house and every summer at my Dad and Suzy's cabin in Idaho. But, nope, he still wouldn't let us get one. Emily has begged for one for 5 years. We even had friends who wanted to give us theirs for free a few months ago as they were moving. Suzy saw one clearanced at Sam's a few months back, but nope, nope, nope.

And then suddenly he caved! The boys are into parkour stuff now and Emily still loves doing gymnastics stuff on the trampoline. David realized that we have to have something to get these kids off of their screens this summer.

So, last Friday night, we got half of it set up. It took a few hours.

We still have to do the screen enclosure, but that will have to wait until we get home from a few trips we are going on in the next week. Emily is impressive. She's doing a front walk over with no hands.

Those blurs are her legs. She can do some awesome tricks.  The rule is no jumping when we aren't home. But, they just like to sit out there and run on it, so that's fine. The other night, David and I were going for a walk, and we peeked out. Noah was standing up being silly and Ben and Emily were sitting on the trampoline watching him and laughing. It was such a great sight to see.

Here's to more hours jumping this summer and less zoning out on a screen.
