Ben was more exciting to eat this Rudolph cupcake.
The highlight of the party is a surprise visit from Santa.
Noah could care less about Jolly Ol' Saint Nick.
Santa tells a lengthy story about why we celebrate Christmas. It's good for the kids to hear, but Ben was more fascinated by his light up Power Ranger snow boots. Mind you, it's not snowing anymore, but he had to wear them. Notice the Superman shirt that he has worn for 3 days straight.
Ben was very surprised during one part of the story. Santa asked who Jesus is. The older kids were saying, our Heavenly Father, Lord, God... Then Santa went on to say that he died for our sins. And Ben exclaimed, "Mom! God died!" He sounded shocked and very upset. We seriously need to go to church.
Santa calls each kid up and tells them a few things they are doing well and one thing that they need to work on.
Here's Emily hearing that she needs to stay in her room all night. This was the same thing he told her last year.
And Ben needs to keep his room clean. Last year it was pick up toys. You can tell my kids don't really listen to Santa either.
Then Santa gives them each a present.
As Santa was leaving, all the kids ran to the window to see him take off in his sleigh with his reindeer.
They were a little confused to see him drive away in a Buick.

I LOVE IT! This is priceless :D And I must say that I'm soooo glad to see that the REAL Santa visited your group, instead of one of those fake-cotton-beard varieties (you know I'm big on this issue, lol)
The photos are great and your last line made me laugh out loud.
Love, the pictures. Emily has become so pretty, even if she is my #1 grandchild. The others all have their special virtues, but she can't help that she was born #1.Now, Ben's sense of humor , he must have gotten from you cause he sure comes up with some unusual thoughts ...
And, Noah well we'll he'll always be the one that wanted to get the party started before his time..
Then we have Rachel who everone will agree is the absolute best baby ever.. She just makes your heart melt with those big blue eyes. Now, we just have to wait and see what special treat Gregory will bring the family.
Emily is however, #1 no matter how you look at it.
Keep on having fun with your family , Gina. When the humor is gone ... that will be a day the sun doesn't shine. ☼
Love,
G.
