David's Mom, his sister and her 2 kids came out to visit last week. We were so busy that I didn't post a thing. I'll have to make up for it by doing several posts because I think I have over 50 photos to put up.
Let's start with Around Our House:
Alisa bought the girls matching bathing suits. They wanted to take a bath together, but Emily is modest.
These boys were being superheroes.
Trying to get a good picture of 5 kids is close to impossible.
They spent lots of time on the swingset. Glad David refinished it and nobody got a splinter.
I'm not sure what is going on with Noah here. It looks like Rachel is giving him mouth to mouth and Emily is giving him CPR.
He lived.
They played in this little inflatable pool in our backyard. Ugh, why can't they all look at the camera and smile at the same time.
Almost....
Then, I just told them to make silly faces. I think I like it better.
These boys didn't stop running. For 4 days...
David made homemade cheesecakes. It's one of the best things I've ever had. Luckily, with all these people we each only got about 2-3 pieces. I could've eaten the whole cake by myself. Seriously.
Cousin love. These 2 are so cute. They are only 3 months apart. Noah is older. Go figure.
Grandma Suzy got Emily a balloon animal kit a few months back. Those were an epic fail, but the balloons were tons of fun!
Dinners were always with Grammie at the head of the table.
Up next, a trip to the park and a day at the lake!

Noah's Got Talent
I have company coming tomorrow. That means I have to clean the bathrooms. It's a chore to do 3 bathrooms, and it's even harder with my "helper" Noah. I put on Just Dance yesterday per his request and he was busy for awhile. I couldn't help but laugh when I watched up. The video is over 4 minutes. Don't bore yourself with the whole thing unless you are his grandparent. My favorite part is at 1:10, 2:22 and the song ends at 2:48 and you have to watch how he carries himself to the left of screen just like the robot. He's talented.
Then, you have to watch the end at 4:22. He realizes I'm cleaning the bathroom and yells that he wants to scrub the toilets. And by scrub, he means swishing water all over the place.
Today on the way to school, Noah was singing Frozen. Oh vay, It's driving me crazy, but I let it go. Ha! Pun intended. I started the video at a stop light. Then, I just held up my phone. I had no clue if I was even getting him in the picture, but I did pretty good. He was a little quiet at first, but when he gets to the chorus at :55, he really lets loose.
He may have to rely on his dancing career as his voice, well it's special.

Let It Go
I think I mentioned that the Frozen Soundtrack is on repeat here.
I put Noah in a timeout this morning for hitting Ben. I totally forgot about him. After about 30 minutes, I heard the blinds moving and thought it was Rocko. It was Noah. I'm shocked he stayed their that long. I immediately told him I was sorry that I left him there so long and I just got busy working and forgot.
He didn't say anything and went to sulk outside. Then, I heard him at the top of this lungs singing Let It Go. Appropriate for the situation.
In other news, I have an ear infection and can't get in at the doctor until tomorrow. Not good.

Staining and Swimming
With the swing set sanded it was time to stain and seal it today. What a tedious process. Emily asked to help and actually did help for almost an hour. I was so impressed.
The kids talked me into buying them this little inflatable pool at Sams yesterday. It was only $30, so I figured they could have some fun in it. They did!
I would think it would be boring for them, but it provided hours of entertainment.
I helped Dave paint for several hours and he finally finished up after about 4 hours of painting. It looks great and we are so happy to be done with that project!
The kids had to test it out. Yea! No splinters!

On Spring Break, I Rode a Camel
Today was the first day of Spring Break. To kick of Spring, I bought cute new dishtowels. I love dishtowels. They make me happy.
We typically go somewhere for spring break, so the news of staying home for 9 days with nothing to do wasn't the most exciting. To make matters worse, David and I have some sprucing up around the house to do, starting with the swing set. David started sanding it today.
I plan to help with staining it, but there wasn't much I could do with all the sawdust flying everywhere. So, I recruited the kids to help me clean up the back yard. It was a day of firsts. They had never cleaned up dog poop.
Well, Noah and Ben helped. But, I can say that Emily still hasn't picked up dog poop. She made some awful faces along with fake gagging, and I just didn't think it was worth the fight.
Then, they helped shift out bigger rocks from the sand pit. Again, Emily did more supervising than anything.
Then, I decided we were just in the way, so we I took the kids out for a bit. There was this petting zoo set up for the weekend at the tractor store on the highway. It was $1 to get in and really fun for the kids. Ben loved the zebra.
The camel and lama liked to try to eat us a little, so we kept our distance.
Noah's favorite spot was right in the middle where none of the animals could come anywhere near him. Smart kid. This little guy was more their speed.
Then, a guy outside was giving camel rides, 2 for $10! How could we pass that up? My kids have never even been on a horse, but they rode a camel today. Well, not Noah. He was scared.
Emily gave it a thumbs up and said it was awesome.
When I asked Ben what he thought, he just said "paradise". I guess he liked it.
We went to the store and got frosty's and fries from Wendy's. We got home hours later and David was still working.
On the agenda tomorrow, staining.

Around Our House
I love when I catch my kids being sweet to each other.
I had to get a new recycle bin because ours had a huge crack in it. You know the big ones that go out by the curb. They delivered the "new" one today. It had mud on the bottom, barely wheeled and cob webs on it. I called to complain that my trash can wasn't clean enough. When I hung up, I was laughing at myself. Did I seriously just complain that the garbage can wasn't clean? Why yes, yes I did!
The Frozen Soundtrack is on repeat practically at this house. It's one of my favorite Disney movies. For now anyway. I have a feeling I'll hate it by the end of next week.
The kids get out 2 hours early tomorrow and start Spring Break. We have absolutely nothing planned. Well, the park on Tuesday. Other than that, nothing, except Frozen on repeat! Wish me luck.
Noah calls nipples, nibbles. I think it's awesome. That should be what they are called. It sounds so much nicer.

Man Plans, God Laughs
My best friend Pam's boss use to say that...Man Plans, God Laughs. I always thought it was amusing and true really.
I wrote my last blog post all about my plans for the future. I was looking 6 months out and thinking of all that I can and will do with my life when all three of my kids are in school full time. I wasn't just planning. I was dreaming.
My monthly cycle is very regular. 28 days, give or take 1 or 2. Friday came and went...Saturday...Sunday....Monday....by Tuesday, I was starting to panic. David had a vasectomy right after Noah was born. The first day that I was home from the hospital, I made David that appointment. Then, I took him to the surgery a few weeks later. But, we never took in a follow up sample. How could this be? David looked it up 1 in 2,000 chance. Well, that's a little low for my comfort level. I figured this would be the one time we'd be the lucky 1.
Last night, I was a wreck. I couldn't sleep. I told David for sure it would be here Wednesday morning, 5 days late. The only time I've been 5 days late, I was pregnant. I woke up early this morning. Nothing. I hugged David and started to cry. Not happy tears either. This couldn't be. I don't want to start over with diapers and formula. Neither did David. He said maybe it was twins? Really, not seeing the humor here. I was completely and utterly depressed at the thought. I knew that if we were pregnant, then it was meant to be. It may not have been my plan, but it was Gods. I'd take the next 6 years and share the whipped cream on my frappuccino and put my plans on hold. Even more though, I was worried if I'd live through another pregnancy. Would a baby? The statistics aren't great, and when I read about preeclampsia mixed with HELLP syndrome, it's a miracle that Noah and I walked away unscathed.
Then, I went to the bathroom this evening. I've never been so happy to see blood in all my life.
