Ok, yesterday wasn't so gloom and doom. We still managed to have a good time. Here the kids are at the beach. That's Ben's happy face, I swear!
And there was time for handstands.
And sand castles...
And Noah...he gets this body from eating chips and Froot Loops all day. He seriously has the worst diet. I have to make him eat good food. He only eats 2 vegetables and barely 2 fruits. He's a meat eater. Maybe that's the secret. Lots of meat!
And there was a pretty sunset.
So, this morning, we got up early and got out of Osoyoos. About an hour out of town, you pass so many fruit stands. We stopped for peaches, cherries, nectarines and apples! So yummy!
I love this bridge in Vancouver. It means we are almost there.
And we barely made the 2:15 ferry. We got there at 1. The next ferry was 3:45 and we were just sitting there thinking we have to get on the ferry. I can't possibly sit here with these kids for another 90 minutes. And then we were one of the last 30 cars on! Whew...
And this is funny...my Facebook popped up with this memory from 3 years ago today. We were in the same place on the same ferry going to Gibsons 3 years ago today. The kids look so tiny!
This is the ferry. Dakri was asking about how big it is. It's huge. It holds almost 400 vehicles!
We had a nice spot with a view today. Sometimes, you are blocked in by walls or other cars.
And here's the area for the big trucks.
We got here and Aunt Paula had a huge basket of Canadian candy for us. YUM! We get spoiled rotten here. And not just with candy!
They made us a yummy dinner of chicken ceasar salad and Aunt Paula's garlic bread. Then, we were off to spend an hour at the beach. This is the view walking to the beach. We have beach on one side and the other side is huge forested pine trees.
And we are at our favorite beach...
Looking for beach glass already. Emily and Noah already have a jar of glass. So, now we are working on mine. :)
Ben loves walking on the logs.
I sent my cousin Amy this picture. She's working tonight and is coming over tomorrow. So, I had to show her that we were working on our beach glass collection already.
On the way home, we came across some neighborhood kitties. Of course my kids went crazy. They are missing Rio so much.
Then, we went for gelato. YUM!
Aunt Paula walks every night, so her and I walked the 2 miles home and David drove the kids home. I LOVE the flowers here. So pretty.
Tomorrow we are hanging out at the beach all day and doing absolutely nothing.
I can't wait.
