Today was a beach day. Huntington Beach is always a great break from the hustle and bustle of Disneyland.
The kids were super excited to get to the water.
They got right down to business.
A year ago when we went to San Diego, Noah wouldn't even put his feet in the sand. This year, he was enjoying the sand. David would build a sand castle and Noah would come along with a shovel and destroy it.
This is as close as I could get to a smile.
Emily has no problem acting like a cover girl.
Ben is in his element being trampled by a wave.
They practiced surfing.
Me and Noah.
David rescuing Noah from a wave.
Burying Dad in the sand.
Burying Ben in the sand.
We stopped at a grocery store and got lunch meat for lunch. Noah just ate Doritos.
Playing catch with a seashell.
Drawing in the sand.
Noah got really brave at the end of the day and was hanging out on his own with the big kids.
We spent over 4 hours at the beach with only a few sand box toys. My kids LOVE the beach. Actually, Emily said the same thing she did 3 years ago that the beach was her favorite thing. I spent $680 for 3 day Disney tickets and $15 for parking at the beach. I need to remember that next time - 1 day at Disney and 3 days at the beach.
We are all pretty darn tired. Tomorrow is our last day at Disney. We are doing a few rides that we didn't get to the other day and some of our favorites. We may leave at lunch time and spend the second part of the day at the beach again. We'll see how the day goes.
Noah fell asleep in the car on the way home from the beach and we laid him in his pack and play when we got back to the hotel. He was plum tuckered out!
One more full day in Cali tomorrow and we are going to suck all the marrow out of the day that we can.
